General FAQ

Do I have to buy tickets to all the events or can I buy tickets to individual performances?
Tickets are available individually for the Judges & Winners Concert, Quarter Finals (two performances included), Semi-Finals (two performances included), and Finals. There is, however, a discounted package price for the entire week. May we suggest that you choose tickets as a gift to give someone special?

Are tickets also available at the door?
Yes, tickets will be available at the door, but some events can sell-out, so we urge you to get your tickets in advance.

How long should I expect a particular night's event to last?
All events will last 2 hours or less. But we suggest that you be prepared to stay after at the end of each Round to hear the results from the judges.

Will I have time to eat between performances?
Yes, there is a break after the early performances long enough to enjoy a quick meal at one of the nearby restaurants.

What restaurants are within walking distance of the Savannah Theatre?
There are a number of restaurants in close proximity to Chippewa Square. The Six Pence Pub, Billy’s Place and Fire Street Food are all on Chippewa Square. Mellow Mushroom, J. Christophers, and Soho Café are within walking distance. There are fewer options near the Skidaway Island United Methodist Church. The closest and most convenient would be the Village Bar and Grill.

Are cameras or recording devices allowed during the events?
No, neither cameras or recording devices are allowed at any of the performances

Do we have any input for awards?
Yes. The Richard Chambless People’s Choice Award is chosen entirely by you, the audience. At each session of the Quarterfinals and Semifinals, you will receive a paper ballot with that sessions’ contestants. You are to rate them by number - where 1 is the best and 7 is the worst. After each session, hand your ballot to an usher.

Are cameras or recording devices allowed during the events?
No, neither cameras or recording devices are allowed at any of the performances!
